Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) - Bangkok's Contemporary Art Hub

I have been to more than 10 countries and this is one of the finest art museums I have had the privilege to visit. The whole experience was delightful from start to finish especially if you need some peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Bangkok.

In this museum, you will find yourself transformed into a state of serenity as soothing music guides you past many works depicting the Buddha and other compelling colourful fantasy works.
I've encountered few visitors (not as many as I’ve expected) in the museum at midday which could be attributed to the fact that the museum is midway between downtown Bangkok and the airport so few people make the effort to come here. The architecture and interior design are stunning.

The building itself is difficult to tuck away. It is a huge modern architectural building, very imposing. Inside is an oasis of peace and whiteness. The museum is unique for hosting artwork and sculptures from predominantly Thai nationals and offers unique spins on traditional artwork. There are a total of 5 floors each dedicated to an artist
The ticket is 250 baht/adult, so it’s not that cheap but your time there will be greatly spent. A lot of very good, imaginative, contemporary Thai artists that surprise you and also teaches you something about the Thai past and its influences.
With a few rare exceptions, this museum is very insightful to see a broad sample of contemporary local artists. Totally recommended if you’re into the arts. And even if you’re not.
My advice is, if you don't want to make the trip during your stay, plan to stop off on the way to the Don Muang Airport. You will be glad you did, and it will totally destress you for the journey ahead
