Trip to Chiang Mai, Thailand

Wednesday, June 08, 2016

Hallo.

Last week, I literally spent my Annual Leave with the whole fam-bam to Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Ever heard of Chiang Mai? Chiang Mai is located at the northern part of Thailand and the flight from KL to Chiang Mai took me about 2 hours 50 minutes for the duration time.

Why did we chose Chiang Mai? Well, because all of us love the nature so much (i mean the animals & trees & jungles and etc) makes us chose Chiang Mai as our annual travel destination this year.

During the first few days in Chiang Mai, we stayed at Sasima Guest House, located very near to Anusarn Night Market in Chiang Mai, For the low price that we've paid for the guest house, I must say, its totally worth it. The staffs are very friendly like Ms Maple who willingly provided us with the Halal meal that we requested without making huge fuss and the immediate help for us getting taxi drivers make us feel relieved for choosing Sasima Guest House. Not only that, the location for this guest house is perfect as it is situated at the heart of Chiang Mai.

As for the Halal eateries at Chiang Mai, Muslims can buy Halal food at the Anusarn night market whereby there are few selections for Halal eateries there. Not only the authentic Thai food which being sold at the market, but Arabic food or even the Muslim Chinese Mee Tarek also being sold at the market. For a cheaper choice, Muslims can opt to go to the Halal road whereby the Chiang Mai mosque being located at the street. At the same street, there are few shops selling  Halal food which cheaper price.

Shopping wise, Chiang Mai offers lots of thing to shop. Most of the products are heavily influenced with the Karen culture & Akha culture ( the natives of the northern Thai tribes) and the price is slightly cheaper compared to towns like Krabi & Phuket.

Amongst the highlight of our trip :

1) The fun Tuk Tuk ride in Chiang Mai

2) The elephant ride in Mae Sa Elephant Cap

3) Bamboo rafting at the Mae Sa river

4) Trying out the flying fox at the Eagle Track Zipline

5) Went to Tiger Kingdom (and managed to pat a real Tiger)

6) A visit to the monkey school

7) Went further up to the Golden Triangle (an intersection whereby Thailand, Laos and Burma meets)

8) The Glass Temple at Chiang Rai

9) Karen Tribe Village

...and lots more.

These are some of the highlights that we've experienced and I must say, Chiang Mai is a worth place to visit :)

Love,
-Arnis
