Umrah Part 7

Saturday, January 25, 2014

After several days staying in Makkah, what I can sum up this whole Umrah journey is that:

"Millions of Muslims from different walks of life visit Makkah every year. In order to perform the Umrah, men are required to clad themselves in two white cloths and women are required to wear garment that covers their hair, arms and legs. This is to unite different people from different backgrounds in the eyes of Allah. In essence, a millionaire could be walking next to a beggar and you would never recognise the differences because everyone looks similar to each other"

The organiser, Andalusia group had organised extended tours to some historic places in Islam. Among of them is:

1) Thur Mountain

Mak and Annur posed at Thur Mountain

This is actually a mountain which is situated near Makkah- a place where Prophet Muhammad and Saidina Abu Bakar were hiding from the Quraisy before they fled to Madinah.

2) Jabal Rahmah

This is a place where Prophet Adam met Hawa for the first time after years being separated. Also this place is ideal to dua' for your jodoh *cough cough*

3) Mina and Arafah

This place is only full with people during Hajj season but most of the time-it's empty like this.

Our group was a bit unlucky because the organiser failed to bring us to Hudaibiyah, the Museum and others to to time factors-but thankfully I've been to those places in 2004 so there's no big deal about that. We were actually delighted as we can actually focus at Masjid without having any distractions from outside.
